<p>The plant often grows in wet saline coastal habitat, such as brackish marshes and mangroves. The flowers are pollinated by butterflies as well as other insects. The leaves also as food source for caterpillars of the moth Lobesia rhombophora. Beluntas is propagated by seed as well as stem cutting. </p>
