<p><i>Cratoxylum cochinchinense</i> grows in primary and secondary rainforests. It can be also found in freshwater swamp forest. Flowers nectar attract wildlife. The leaves are food for the caterpillar of the Common Grass Yellow Butterfly (<i>Eurema hecabe contubernalis</i>). </p>
